  Message from the Founder

Greetings All,

Discrimination, unemployment, identity theft, abuse and poverty are just a few global social issues and let me make a note that they are being addressed. These social issues hit individuals with disabilities more times over than others. There are many organizations that are addressing these issues and doing extraordinary jobs.  There are vendors that are providing assistive technology to assist and organizations providing support to individuals with disabilities. 

360 disAbility Solutions (360) is taking a step back to focus on these individuals and global issues by focusing on one entity, the personal computer.  It is 360’s belief that the personal computer can be the catalyst for changing the lives of individuals with disabilities who have functional limitations.

CHILDREN
 
“Children are our future” has become such a cliché, and make no mistake it is a fact, but let’s take it a little further.  360 is looking to make sure that children with disabilities are not forgotten.  Designing PCs, providing support, referrals to technical training, assistive technology and to assisting schools to provide necessary measures to provide children with disabilities the same playing ground as those who are not.  Starting at this early time in their lives will develop these individuals to becoming incredible young adults with ability to become anything that they put their minds to become.

ADULTS

Adults with significant disabilities and functional limitations can find our services and programs to assist in their personal goals.  Placing them on PCs and designing their PCs can make their computer experience more pleasant and accessible.  They will be able to do research, job searches, shop, go to school and communicate with relatives and friends.  There are so many opportunities that the PC can offer them and 360 will be there to get them started.
 
SENIOR CITIZENS

In my opinion we need to look towards our elderly for knowledge and skills.  Senior citizens have raised children, ran organizations, provided us and our children with education and the list can go on and on.  At this time in their lives some may have become disabled but still can offer their knowledge and can use personal computers.  360 is looking to place them on personal computers designed to fit their special situations and giving them the opportunities and the same playing grounds as all others.  In doing my research I have found senior citizens in their 70’s that have started sustainable businesses.  So, equaling the playing ground with elderly individuals with significant disabilities and functional limitations will give them endless opportunities.

VETERANS

Our troops are coming back home as veterans with life altering challenges. 360 feels obligated and honored to work with them as well as other veterans with disabilities that have served our country.  Our services and programs will assist them as they adjust to their current status as veterans with a disability.

360 disAbility Solutions was just an idea and now it is my passion.  It is important that this organization is created in order to assist in social change and remove any stereotype with individuals with disabilities.  Providing these individuals with personal computers designed to fit there needs will assist them to be more productive and contributors to society.  Our programs will give them the support and visibility that will be invaluable.

To begin we need to start local and use our sustainable business model, move across United States and then take it globally.  It is also our passion to remove misconceptions that individuals may have on nonprofits and promote social entrepreneurships and start in the school systems.  You can think of us as being their Technical and Nonprofit Information Advocates.

My personal legend is to see that this organization grows with integrity, respect and prosperity.  Someone had asked me why a nonprofit, why not a for-profit company.  360’s values and core integrity is built on empowering individuals with disabilities not exploiting them.
